There are many good foods that we can choose from, but certain fruits and vegetables are especially power-packed with nutrients, which promote health and healing in our bodies. They should be eaten raw or juiced. If you prefer, you can steam or make soups out of them. If you do, be sure to drink the broth because it’s full of important phytonutrients that help fight disease such as cancer.

We should be eating one of the following cruciferous vegetables every day: broccoli, cauliflower,collard greens, cabbage, brussell sprouts, radishes, mustard greens,turnips and lugumes. Also, carrots are a good power-food choice. Carrots are rich in beta-carotene, which can help prevent heart disease and cancer. Tomatoes contain lycopene, which also helps prevent cancer. Parsley is a very potent power food. it is a main ingredient in the middle eastern salad called tabouli, which can be found in most local large grocery stores and health food stores.Soybeans and soybean products are some of the most important power foods for us.

Nutrients in soybeans called isoflavones appear to offer protection against cancer, heart disease and oseoporosis. Try soy burgers for a change and soy milk. Tofu, soy protein and miso soup are also good if you are not allergic or sensitive to soy.Chlorophyll foods such as alfalfa, wheatgrass and barleygrass. and algae, are also potent detoxifiers that can be consumed on a daily basis.

There are two fruits that are also power-packed, strawberries and tangerines. Making these foods a regular part of your diet will help you maintain a strong and healthy body for many years to come.

Using a Power Juicer for the fruits and vegetables is also a great alternative. Juicing can be taylored to specific vitamin and mineral needs. Personalizing a juice program is easy to design and easy to follow. While juices are high in nutrition, they are low in fiber.

A fiber-rich diet will compliment your juice program by supplying the bulk your body needs for proper digestion.
